WEN Revisited

Really quickly...

I've finally gotten WEN back in my life. For anyone who is not familiar with WEN, it's a cleansing conditioner. The reason I won't call this a glorified cowash is because it's not the same.

WEN is comparable to HairOne found in Sally Beauty stores. It is only comparable, in my opinion, in regards to both of them being cleansing conditioners designed to simplify product usage in a regimen. The similarities end there.

I've tried both and HATED HairOne. It immediately left my hair coated and completely jacked up.

WEN cleans the hair and scalp thoroughly while conditioning it comparable to a deep conditioner. It can also be used as a leave in conditioner. The main reasons I love this product are that it is fast and cleanses completely without stripping.

After using Fig WEN, my hair did NOT feel stripped. It did not dry as if it had been stripped of its natural oil. My scalp was clean, my hair was clean, my hair was moisturized. A few days later my hair still did not feel dry. I feel no need to wash my hair although I'm going to because I just got rained on.

I hate this product is so expensive at about $28 for a 16oz container, but if it means my hair is not breaking because it's moisturized, so be it.

Another reason I love this product is that when I used regular conditioner to cowash with, I eventually run into buildup issues. Last year I used WEN for a few months basically consistently and never had buildup issues. It is really a good product.

Sorry to hear about the Hair One. I really wanted that to work.

I purchased the WEN product as a Christmas gift for myself and rather than cheer, I have nothing but grief. The product has too much alcohol and other harmful ingredients than cause breakage. I used the sweet almond conditioner and when I rinsed my hair it was coing out in my hands. I lost five years of growth. I am very sorry I tried this product.

I think the WEN comment was posted by an employee. I purchased WEN as a christmas gift for myself and rather than cheer, I had grief. I used the sweet almond conditioner and my scalp started to inch, when I went to rinse my hair started coming out in my hands. I lost five years of growth. I'm so angry that I tried this product and mainly b/c of the endorsement by Holly Robinson-Peete. What's more the product is advertised for $24. 99, but when I got the bill it was $108. What a scam!

As a result of WEN hair care, I have been running all over town trying to find a Trichologist (hair specialist) and Dermatologist to perform microscopic hair scans to give a proper diagnosis so I can start to regrow my hair. One of the specialist stated that new growth will resume in 6 months. The agony is too much!
