I waited a week after my application of QOD Max Brazilian Keratin Treatment to wash. I was going to do a full wash, but as soon as I placed the first bit of Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Shampoo on my hair, it stiffened up. It felt harsher than a clarifying shampoo. I had a feeling that would happen as soon as I saw the shampoo was clear. I believe clear shampoos lack emollients and moisturizing agents (just guessing) because most of the harsher clarifying shampoos are clear.
So as soon as I realized AOHRS was not getting any play on the rest of my hair, I just grabbed my Pantene R&N Intensive Moisturizing conditioner and DCd with that. I didn't have any extra product on my hair so a cowash cleaned it just fine. I let that sit for a couple of hours and rinsed. My hair was slippity slippery and felt strong and resilient. Detangling was non-existent.
I applied a little KC leave in and sealed with Hot Six Oil. I airdried in a twisted bun and 24 hours later, it was only 50% dry. Yes! Moisture retention! My relaxed hair dried almost stick straight, strong, and soft. My new growth and texlaxed roots dried to a soft wave, a slight difference from the norm. My twisted and rolled ends in my bun dried defined without any frizz.
So I wore it up in a clip another day and then french braided on the third day. My hair has been like this for about 4 days now-I lost count. My scalp doesn't itch and my hair isn't dirty.
So, these results are almost identical to my Keratin Complex Treatment. But, again, the key is how long will it last?

hey :) i have a question...i wanna try that keratin treatment....but i'm a bit worried about wutt would happen after washing it several times...like a month or too afterward...some ppl tell me, hair would start falling off, or i would start having split ends...i wanna know, is the keratin treatment, really a healthy choice for curly frizzy hair, or is it a scam? i reaaaaally would appreciate ur advice since i really wanna try it :)
Hi, Hana! If you look at the label cloud you will see my labels where you can find multiple posts about my experience with the keratin treatments.
In summary, it is not a scam. It is a protein treatment that fills in the damage giving a temporary effect of stronger, smoother, softer, shinier hair. It is not a relaxer and washes out over the course of a few months.
If anyone experiences breakage and damage, I would have to assume several things. 1. Improper application 2. Severely damaged hair prior to the bkt 3. Too much heat was used or a myriad of other causes.
oh yay. i really want to try this but i need to finish up my current shampoo first .
how long did this treatment last?

Rana S - The treatment can last between 3-5 months depending on how well you take care of it and what kinds of products you use to maintain it.
hi can u tell me after i apply the keratine how many days should i wait till i wash my hair mand also in these days before first wash should i iron my hair?
what sre the things i should do to keep my hair safe after the treatment. will my hair be silky straight for atleast 3 months or no... my hair is not fuzzy...SARA

I am using this for the second time and i love it, my hair naturally frizz and kinks at the back to the point where i have tried everything i purchased some qod max and applied it back in august the effects are only just wearing off i use sls free shampoos with it so it lasts and have just done my second treatment this morning 16th nov i dont think i would want to go back to how difficult my hair was before it was that frizzy even though i looked after it well regular cuts,minimum heat styling etc because its slow growing it still got damaged and was pretty tough to even run a afro comb through in the wash unless it had condition on it and if i did not condition i would be in trouble as it would dry awful frizzy and dry i have tried every hair skin and nail vitamin on the market to improve its condition the only thing i can say is i use perfectil and the keratin together my hair has grown 4 inches since i last done the treatment and is not brittle its soft and managable and very very different to before ,i know there is a lot of scaremongering about this product but personally for me its made a huge difference to my life i dont have to faff about with my hair as much as before and im really pleased :)
