Boy have I learned about toxic relationships in the last few years. I literally moved to another state to get away from some of the toxic people in my life. Now that is drastic but sometimes you have to do what you have to do to regain control of your own life and to get away from people who try to dictate your every move. If I listened to all the negativity in my life I would be single, broke and still living at home with my mom...lol. I would not have accomplished the things I have in life such as 2 degrees, a good job and the great friends that I do have. You have to take care of yourself first and also take a step back and look at the person giving you this so called "advice" or telling you what you need to do. What are they doing and where are they going in life? If it's downhill; then it's time to give them the deuces.

Misery LOVES company. It's sad how devious and destructive people are willing to be. Ridding yourself of the negativity and toxicity changes your life in an amazing way. Peace.

Anonymous - It's definitely something you learn as you live. If moving is what you have to do, then moving is what you have to do. I know a guy at my church who did just that and for the same reasons.

Things1429 - Yes, misery loves company and misery is contagious.
